In a statement issued by The Shura Executive Council on June 27, 2026, it was announced that Mother Khadijah Farrakhan “has returned to Allah.” The announcement was made with deep sadness, yet with gratitude to Allah for a life marked by faith, family, devotion, and service.

Mother Khadijah was more than the wife of one of the most recognized religious leaders in Black America. She was a pillar of strength, dignity, and grace within the Nation of Islam. For more than seven decades, she stood beside Minister Farrakhan as a wife, mother, spiritual companion, and faithful follower of the teachings of The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad.

Mother of the Faithful

Born November 26, 1935, Mother Khadijah Farrakhan was honored in recent years as the “Mother of the Faithful” and celebrated for her unwavering dedication to her husband, her family, and the Nation of Islam. The Final Call reported that her 90th birth anniversary was celebrated in November 2025 at Muhammad University of Islam, where family, members of the Shura Executive Council, friends, and guests gathered to honor her life and legacy.

Her presence represented quiet power. She carried herself with elegance, humility, and spiritual conviction. To many, Mother Khadijah embodied the sacred role of a woman who helped hold together family, faith, and community while walking through history beside a man whose voice shaped generations.
